A Brighter Future for Bakong in Cambodia

Cambodian Child’s Dream Organization (CCDO) is a non-profit body with a vision to create healthy, educated, thriving, sustainable villages in rural areas of Siem Reap. The organization is active in promoting sustainable village development in partnership with the Cambodian people, by helping to provide clean water, sanitation, educational opportunities and health care from birth. Their work plays a key role in raising awareness of the environmental and social issues in Cambodia.

Destination Asia Cambodia are offering programs in the Bakong District area outside Siem Reap, an area CCDO are actively working with local authorities to positively develop.

Trav Kod lies in the heart of the Bakong District and is a destination of outstanding beauty, including a lake covering 65 hectares positioned 28 kilometres north-east of Siem Reap – with a breathtaking view of the Kulen Mountain range. It is growing as an eco-tourism destination and Destination Asia are developing a number of programs within sustainable parameters here.  The Bakong District as well as CCDO offers stunning natural landscapes to enjoy soft adventure activities, including camping and hiking along the lake pathways.
