Accor Opens MGallery in Burma’s Capital

Accor recently opened a high-end boutique hotel named The Lake Garden in Nay Pyi Taw, marking the French hospitality group’s first venture into the Myanmar market. They have also announced plans to open at least a further five hotels in Myanmar over the next three years. The capital has seen a number of high-end hotels open in recent months, including names such as Kempinski and Hilton Worldwide, as interest from both international businesses and tourists continues to surge.

The Lake Garden offers guests a serene sanctuary through fine attention to detail encompassing Burmese cultural artifacts, traditional design elements and richly textured materials. There are 165 rooms and suites with modern, comfortable furnishings and devices to ensure a relaxing stay. There are also several dining options at hand, including; The Grand Bell, offering local dishes; and Primo, an international restaurant with fine Western cuisine.

The hotel’s meeting facilities consist of a conference room which can accommodate up to 250 delegates, six breakout meeting rooms for small-to-medium size functions and two state-of-the-arts boardrooms.
