21 Nov: Activity Reported on Mount Agung Volcano in Bali

Please be advised that today at 17:05 local Central Indonesian Time, a medium-pressure smoke plume in grey color with a maximum height of about 700 meter was observed above the summit of Mt. Agung on the island of Bali. The ash has been carried by winds blowing in an east-southeast direction.

The alert level on Mount Agung has not been changed and remains at level 3 as set by Indonesian officials of the PVMBG Geological Agency at this moment.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and are in contact with local authorities. Updates will be provided as necessary.
