CSR at the Heart of 6 Nights in Phnom Penh for 120 Delegates

Group:
120 delegates from a multi-national insurance company staying 6 nights in Phnom Penh requested CSR activities and a gala dinner.

Brief:
The group were seeking VIP treatment from the moment they landed and a professional photographer to document their stay in Phnom Penh. A special request was made to visit a local school that the group had supported and helped construct – located one hour south of the capital. The group asked for a memorable gala dinner on the final evening.

Challenges:
A lost passport meant immigration at Phnom Penh wanted to send the person back to Singapore. We assisted with the immigration police chief and we were able to help them into the country due to our relationships and connections. We were also able to use the group organizers passport as a guarantee. We then assisted in retrieving their passport from Singapore to Phnom Penh and transferred the client to and from the airport to collect it without any additional charge. At the hotel it became apparent that the hotel technician couldn’t provide the necessary equipment to implement their presentation, which was central to the group’s event. It was also late at night – 9pm. Despite the last minute nature and the time of night we were able to source the correct equipment immediately so the group could proceed with their presentation. Even when a hotel couldn’t deliver, we were on standby to provide a solution.

Result:
Despite the challenges, we were able to ensure the group’s stay was pleasant and their brief was fulfilled without hindrance. Destination Asia Cambodia facilitated VIP Fast Track and immigration assistance to ensure the group passed swiftly through the airport before providing hotel check in assistance so each person could get straight to their room. The group attended an opening ceremony at Iroha School which they supported the construction of, complete with regional governors and dignitary in attendance. The overall feedback was exceptionally positive with thanks given to the MICE team in Cambodia for facilitating the wide range of requests within a short time frame.
