Destination Asia co-hosted a familiarisation trip to Hong Kong last week to acquaint agents with a host of developments taking place in the region – and provide inspiration for future events.
The 4 day exploration was sponsored by Destination Asia Hong Kong, Virgin Atlantic, Langham Hotel, Hong Kong and MEHK for a small group of key UK MICE buyers. The trip combined outdoor activities such as a cruise to Lamma Island by Junk and walking tour of Sheung Wan; along with cultural highlights including an introduction to Chinese medicine, tea appreciation class at Ming Cha and a foot reflexology session. The evenings provided opportunities to experience the enthralling nightlife of Hong Kong and dine at the exclusive China Club.
The final day involved a helicopter ride over the islands, followed by a Q&A session hosted by MEHK providing insight into the range of event facilities and service enhancements – and to end the event, a cocktail party in the Harmony Suite at the Langham Hong Kong.
The end results were extremely positive, with each of the buyers excited by the variety of activities and experiences available in Hong Kong.
