Discover the New Territories on a Heritage Walk

Discover the New Territories with Destination Asia Hong Kong and learn about a fascinating heritage that few visitors know exists. The unique cultural history of Hong Kong awaits discovery during this exploration of the New Territories. Our first stop is at Man Mo Temple – a center for worship built over a century ago and dedicated to the God of Literature.

During our visit we explore the famous Tai Po Market where a kaleidoscope of colorful fresh produce, dried herbs and seafood can be found. From Tai Po we continue to Lo Wai Walled Village, a traditional village built by the Tang clan and now a national monument providing insight to an ancient way of life. In contrast to this, our next stopping point is at Tai Fu Tai, a stately 1865 mansion reflecting how high ranking officials once lived. The program concludes along the Sai Kung waterfront – also known as Hong Kong’s hidden garden, characterized by Mediterranean style housing and romantic villas, another charming contrast within Hong Kong.
