When discussing Japanese alcohol, most people talk about sake. But Japan boasts a wide variety of delicious drinks beyond sake, many of them locally prepared. Destination Asia Japan has uncovered many carefully crafted beers and whiskeys with a long history. There is also many other regionally distilled products such as shochu, a spirit popular in Western Japan made by distilling sweet potatoes or wheat.
On our new ‘Japanese Drinks Night’ program, guests will taste them all, paired with a delicious Japanese dinner. Those on the excursion will be hopping around a select few hidden specialty bars in the popular Shinbashi area. On the menu is locally brewed craft beer, sake, refined whisky and some Japanese delicacies to complete this extravaganza.
