DNAsia is Destination Asia’s signature showcase in Australia, where qualified members of the travel industry are invited to network with our destination managers in a workshop format. DNAsia is specifically designed to showcase our Asian destinations and to educate our clients who appreciate the first-hand knowledge of experienced in-country representatives as opposed to marketing representation.
Now in its fourth year, this marquee event has previously attracted over 180 industry professionals and #DNAsia2019 will be bigger than ever with new venues, and 8 Asian operating destinations in attendance.
Lunchtime events will be held in: Melbourne on Tuesday 12th Feb, Sydney on Wednesday 13 Feb and for the first time, Auckland, New Zealand on Friday 15th February.
The venues are specifically selected for their ‘Asian theme’, their ‘drawcard’ features – new, interesting, and therefore of great interest to our clientele – and for their alignment with our brand. The event broadens the educational experience further as we are joined by partner hotels in Sydney and Melbourne including Shangri-la Hotels, Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental, Accor, Hyatt and Marriott. And naturally their presence brings some great prizes!
The timing in February ensures that that our clients are fresh and enthusiastic, and open to new product, and gives Destination Asia and sponsoring partners the first opportunity of the New Year to make an impression.
In attendance from Destination Asia this year will be:
Katie Buxton, Global Director of Sales (Hong Kong)
Paul Levrier, Managing Director (Vietnam)
Jarrod Stenhouse, Managing Director (Japan)
Anna-Marie Chai, Area Director (Borneo, Malaysia)
Matt Smith, General Manager (Singapore)
