The Hokuriku Shinkansen bullet train line from JR (Japan Rail) Tokyo to JR Kanazawa stations is scheduled to start services on March 14, 2015. Prices are yet to be fixed by the government but a proposal has been made by the East and West Japan Railway company. The price submitted was 14,120 yen for a one-way journey. Prices suggested by JR East and JR West which will operate the line jointly – for other destinations are; 12,730 yen from Tokyo to Toyama; 8,960 yen from Nagano to Kanazawa and 3,330 yen for the short journey from Toyama to Kanazawa.
