The indigenous religions and ancient philosophies of China are deeply entwined, with their roots stretching back 2500 years. While the concept of Chinese philosophy may confuse visitors at first, gaining a simple understanding during their journey will leave them with a great sense of accomplishment and joy. Our program does not only focus on the mind, as we hike along the serene Mount Qingcheng our body is also finding new vigor. The mountain, which has 36 peaks, is among the most important centers of Taoism in China. We reveal the historical accounts of Confucius at Sichuan’s largest Confucian Temple – and attempt to master some of the traditional ‘Six Arts’ as we change into traditional clothing to practice calligraphy and archery.
