MahaNakhon is an eye-catching, luxury mixed-use skyscraper located in the central business district of Bangkok. It officially opened in August 2016 and stands at a staggering height of 314 meters (1,030 ft), with 77 floors, making it the tallest building in Thailand at the time of completion – and the 88th tallest building in the world. Its unique pixelated facade has cuboid surface spirals cut into its side, creating an unconventional yet captivating structure. MahaNakhon features many inaugural establishment openings for Thailand, including a; L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon (Bangkok); restaurant by Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto; and a fashionable VOGUE Lounge.
The Bangkok Edition boutique hotel is also a first for the country, with 150 rooms it is to be operated by Ritz-Carlton (part of Marriott International), in collaboration with famed boutique hotel creator Ian Schrager. At the very top of the building, visitors can treat themselves to spectacular city views from a roof-top bar and observation deck.
