New Helicopter Service in Danang

Starting in April 2015, visitors to Danang will be able to take in the city’s sights from the air with exclusive helicopter tours. The Vietnam Helicopter Corporation recently launched their inaugural flight, ferrying VIPs and government officials ahead of the service’s general launch on April 24. The rides last between 15 and 25 minutes, costing USD$150-$200 per person.

Each helicopter can carry up to six passengers who will be treated to a birds-eye view of the city’s stunning sights, including Son Tra Peninsula, Ngu Hanh Son Mountain and Hai Van Mountain Pass.  Destination Asia expects to promote helicopter charters in due course to allow for flyovers and transfers to other destinations in the area. This opens up a new range of incentive opportunities that will appeal to those operating on larger budgets.

The move follows the launch of similar services in Ha Long, Phu Quoc and Nha Trang – an ongoing part of Vietnam’s focus on providing tourists with upscale aviation options including seaplane services to Halong Bay and Phan Thiet.
