Mount Fuji is one of Japan’s most iconic images, instantly recognizable for its snowcapped symmetric beauty. For many it represents a challenging climb, but for some it is a challenge too far. We can now offer a hiking route that allows the less experienced climber a chance to explore this stunning mountain. An expert alpine guide will take guests on a light four hour hike along the spectacular and well maintained Ochudou trail, departing from Mt. Fuji’s Fifth Station.
On the pleasent trek we learn about the geology of the volcano and the wildlife that can be found here. The tour includes, in addition to the guiding, car transfers to and from Tokyo, a delicious boxed lunch, hiking poles, rainproof clothing when required and binoculars for wildlife watching.
