Penang Hot Air Balloon Fiesta returns for the second time on 9 & 10 February 2016! This festival allows visitors the chance to float up into the sky in a hot air balloon. The event is a sight to behold as huge colored balloons light up against the island’s natural backdrop.
The inaugural Hot Air Balloon Fiesta held during the Malaysia’s Year of Festivals in 2015, saw over 100,000 visitors from around the region and abroad in attendance. There were 15 hot air balloons floating above with special shaped ones such as Trump, Darth Vader and Humpty Dumpty. Aside from the balloon displays, there will be ‘night glow’ shows, free flying balloons and cold inflation where anyone can walk into a balloon filled with cold air as it lies on the ground.
