Destination Asia can now reveal a less crowded and small peaceful island lying just two kilometers off the shores of Rawai on the southeastern coast of Phuket. Speedboats are not allowed to stop at the beaches on this island, which helps vastly reduce the number of day visitors and maintains its tropical hide away vibe. Covered with lush vegetation, this rocky islet is dotted with tiny sand coves and offers two main landing spots to visitors: BON Island Restaurant which is located between two small beaches at the northwestern tip of the island; and Long Beach, a semi-private 300metre long strip of white sand situated on the northeastern coast of Koh Bon. On the eastern side of the island there is a longer beach. This beach was once used exclusively by guests who stayed at the Everson Resort & Spa in Rawai.
