Group: 400 pax from a large international consultancy firm request memorable gala dinner and cultural entertainment.
Brief: Following an introduction from our office in Japan, the agent requested a proposal for an event hosting 400 people that included a gala dinner in an outdoor setting with cultural highlights and entertainment. Following a bidding process against other DMCs, Destination Asia Thailand was delighted to win the pitch.
One of the most challenging factors was to source an event space that could accommodate the entire group on the same level. The options for a venue – and backup location were limited due to the large size of the group. Availability was also an issue as a short lead time was given. The events team in Bangkok had to move fast to secure possible venues and first-rate catering services. The proposed options included a private charter dinner cruise and the newly opened Lhong1919, a riverside venue and site of a former warehouse. Over the following days, the company partner visited Bangkok to inspect the options and selected Lhong1919. The team left nothing to chance, meticulously planning the event with color themes, rice barge transportation to create a unique arrival point from the river, traditional Thai puppet performances, live band and a closing firework ceremony. The food was catered by a nearby five-star hotel.
After the event, our team received very positive feedback from guests and company partners who were impressed by the professional execution of all services.
