Singapore Flower Dome Enters Record Books

The mesmerizing Flower Dome at Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay has been awarded the Guinness World Record 2015 for being the largest glass greenhouse in the world.

The vast, glass-clad organic structure covers 1.28 hectares, replicating a variety of climates from across the world, including the cool-dry climate of Mediterranean and semi-arid subtropical regions. It also features 9 different gardens from 5 continents – Mediterranean Basin, South West Australia, South Africa, Central Chile and California. Alongside the Flower Dome sits the impressive Cloud Forest conservatory, featuring one of the world’s tallest indoor waterfalls at 35 meters as well as 7 discovery zones. These are fantastic experiences for both families and travelers interested in discovering the achievements of Asia’s world city.

The Flower Dome houses a series of colorful floral displays throughout the year, presenting a range of horticultural wonders for visitors to explore. In 2015, a journey told through six chapters presents an ever-changing field of flowers and engaging themes.
