Tourism in Japan Breaking Records

Japan is eyeing an ambitious figure of 40 million visitors to the country in 2020, a figure that would widen the eyes of most ordinary folk like you and me.

However, the Japan National Tourism Organisation (JNTO) have revealed that for the seventh year running, Japan has smashed its annual visitors target and is on course to hit this figure. Recent stats show that Japan surpassed the 30 million visitors target for the first time ever in 2018. This is in spite of a string of natural disasters causing disruption across the country during the course of last year and it is encouraging to see that visitors to the country will not be deterred by these events.

It just goes to show that Japan continues to be an extremely popular destination and this trend looks set to continue for quite some time.
