Working with ROLE Foundation to ‘Give Back’

Destination Asia Indonesia have collaborated with the non-profit humanitarian organization, ROLE Foundation, to provide an educational and ecologically aware tour that ‘gives back’ to the community and reveals the natural beauty of Indonesia.

At the foundation’s headquarters in Bali, guests are taken on a guided tour of the medicinal herbs and fruits grown on site before learning about the dying and weaving process taught to students. We also stop at a renewable energy station and an organic snail farm. Following a tour of the headquarters, there is an opportunity to plant a tree within the grounds to help re-forest the area – an experience always thoroughly enjoyed by children.

In the afternoon we drive to Uluwatu Temple to witness the fabulous sunset. Perched 250 feet above the water on a sheer cliff, it’s a perfect vantage point to the beach below. Once the sun dips below the horizon we make our final stop at Jimbaran Bay where a delicious seafood dinner awaits.
