COVID-19 Vaccination Program Underway in Myanmar

According to the Ministry of Health Myanmar, 4.5 million people were vaccinated between January and August. Among these, 1.8 million people are fully vaccinated are nearly 2.66 million have received one dose. This includes medical workers, volunteers, government workers, residents above the age of 65, as well as some private company staff members.

A total of 3.5 million vaccines arrived from India and four million Sinopharm and Sinovac doses from China. Another two million doses from China will arrive in the next month, while the government have purchased an additional two million doses from Russia and hope they will arrive in the coming months.
