We are delighted to announce that Destination Asia Thailand has been selected as the winner of a prestigious PATA Gold Award in the category of ‘Best Travel Guidebook’. The award was in recognition of their interactive ebook, released in 2018 as part of a sustainability campaign to go paperless.
In 2018 Destination Asia published online 10 interactive country ebooks, made available both online through a URL, and offline in PDF format. Each ebook contains comes to life through HD/4K video shot exclusively on location, reveals detailed country maps, introduces the teams, provides links to download key contacts, and reveals a selection of the latest product on offer within each destination.
Our country ebooks were carefully considered to meet the needs of our B2B clients and the end traveler. They provide detailed information on highlight sights and activities along with notes and facts to help travelers better understand the destination. These pioneering ebooks both inspire the reader and impart knowledge. Through a variety of media they capture the imagination and serve as essential travel guides for those either selling or visiting a destination.
The award will be presented at the PATA Gold Awards Dinner & Presentation in September 2019 where more than 800 industry executives are expected.
