Destination Asia Vietnam’s Closet Cleanup Challenge

During these unprecedented times, the team at Destination Asia Vietnam feel very fortunate to have a roof over their heads and enough food for their families. While working from home, Destination Asia Vietnam used their extra time to sort through their personal belongings, clean and set donations aside to give away to people in need, with a special thought for children. They found clothes, shoes, toys, and books in good condition in their closets that will bring joy to others.

According to the latest UNICEF Vietnam Report, nearly 5.5 million children in Vietnam experience at least two deprivations in education, health, nutrition, shelter, water and sanitation, or social inclusion. Vietnam, being the first country in Asia and the second globally to ratify the Convention on the Rights of the Child in 1990, has continued to demonstrate visible and forward-looking leadership in working to ensure every child is healthy, safe, educated and empowered to reach their full potential.

Destination Asia Vietnam’s action not only aims to help others but also contributes towards sustainability goals; avoiding create unnecessary waste and giving used items a second life.
