Managing Director of Destination Asia China Takes Students on a 60-minute Virtual Tour of Beijing

Managing Director of Destination Asia China, Linda Wang, donned her most comfortable walking shoes, grabbed her coffee cup, and hit the streets of Beijing to give 22 London-based university students a comprehensive and informative virtual tour of China’s capital.

With just one week’s notice, the tour was swiftly filmed over three days and edited into a 60-minute video within two days to meet the deadline. The virtual orientation tour focused on downtown Beijing and the Central Business District, Olympic Tower, National Stadium (also known as the Bird’s Nest), Tian’anmen Square, the Beijing subway, hutongs and a hutong family visit, Beihai Park, Gingko Boulevard, and Chang’an Avenue.

Following the presentation of the video to the students and their lecturers, Linda was again on hand for a Q&A session discussing the current handling of COVID-19 within China, the resurgence of domestic tourism, and recovery strategies in place.
