New Trekking Route from Pindaya to Inle Lake

Asia Talk-Myanmar Dec16Myanmar is a destination boasting some of Asia’s most exceptional trekking routes. We have covered many of these routes in the past, with Kalaw to Inle Lake being one that has caught the attention of many traveler’s eye for its outstanding beauty and panoramic views.

To keep options fresh and present our clients with innovative ideas, we have uncovered a new route from Pindaya to Inle Lake that combines the regions natural and cultural interests. Over the course of two days, visitors experience overnight stays in simple yet comfortable accommodation at local village homes, enjoy traditional meals, visit monasteries to gain an understanding of Buddhist culture and encounter past-times such as bamboo weaving. The trekking is not too strenuous, requiring just 1.5 hours of steep climbing over the two and a half day program. We can even make arrangements for a porter to assist carrying a young child up to 4 years old if parents provide an adequate backpack.
