Thailand’s Test & Go Scheme Resumed from 1 February

Thailand once again welcomes international guests without having to go a mandatory quarantine. From February 1, 2022, fully vaccinated travellers from any country around the world can apply for a Test & Go Thailand Pass up to 60 days in advance.

Under the Test & Go program, travellers are not required to undergo a seven-night quarantine. They are only required to stay in a government-approved hotel on the day of arrival (Day 1) and on Day 5 in Thailand. All new Test & Go Thailand Pass applications must submit proof of prepayment for two RT-PCR tests and accommodation (SHA Extra Plus, AQ, OQ, or AHQ) on Day 1 and Day 5, as well as a prearranged transfer on Day 1. For more information on the Test & Go requirements, click here.

Also from 1 February, 2022, Thailand has re-opened Pattaya and Koh Chang in Trat as Sandbox destinations, in addition to Krabi, Phang-Nga, Phuket, and Koh Samui/Koh Pha-ngan/Koh Tao. The Sandbox Extension program will also be introduced between Phuket, Phang-Nga, Krabi, and Koh Samui / Koh Phangan / Koh Tao, where Sandbox travellers can travel within these destinations during their first seven days in Thailand. As the situation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic is constantly evolving, and in the case of the re-suspension of the Test & Go program by the government due to high infection rates, the Sandbox program will remain in place.
