A Less Than Normal Lunch

nunnery vietnamLunch in a nunnery in Hue

Hop on the back of a motorbike and head out of town to visit a nunnery, not too far from civilization but isolated enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. During our visit, guests will not only have the opportunity to meet and interact with the nuns, but there is also time to walk around at your own pace and visit the main hall with its Buddha statue. Then it’s time to lend a helping hand as we learn how to make some local vegetarian dishes for lunch with the nuns. After lunch and during dessert is a great time to talk and learn more about Buddhist culture and the lifestyle of our friendly hosts.

Authentic floating village lunch

Enjoy a perfect local Khmer lunch in floating house. This is an experience not to be missed as you dine over the water’s edge in a stilted home. The houses are pre-selected by Destination Asia and set up especially for guests to enjoy the perfect lunch. Each house can accommodate up to 8 people – if you are a group of 30 or 50 persons, we can work with a group of houses that are close to each other.
