The brief: Our team was tasked with designing and managing a five-day program in Cambodia for a leading global banking software company, bringing together 50 senior executives and partners. The itinerary combined authentic cultural encounters, world-class dining, and seamless logistics to showcase the best of Cambodia’s warmth, sophistication, and creativity.
Challenges and outcome:
The main challenges centered on meeting the expectations of an elite, globally experienced audience while ensuring every detail met luxury standards. Designing an itinerary with fresh, one-of-a-kind experiences, managing logistics across multiple sites, and adapting to late program changes all required careful planning and strong supplier collaboration.
Days began with sunrise temple tours and private blessings from monks, while afternoons brought adventure and discovery through off-the-beaten-path activities such as quad biking through rural villages, exploring Kulen Forest to meet rescued elephants, and cooking alongside local chefs at a countryside lodge. These experiences were balanced with moments of relaxation, including a private shopping tour and spa experience in Siem Reap.
The highlight was an exclusive gala dinner set within the grounds of a heritage temple. Destination Asia Events secured private after-hours access through close coordination with cultural and heritage authorities. Our team also arranged early access for décor and technical crews, allowing for a flawless setup in an area with usually strict time restrictions. The result was a refined Khmer dining experience surrounded by soft candlelight, handcrafted décor, and Apsara dance performances that celebrated Cambodia’s cultural grace and generosity.
