A new walk on the wild side in Singapore

The eagerly awaited opening of Rainforest Wild Asia on 12 March has already generated a wave of excitement, and early reviews suggest it’s set to become one of Singapore’s top day-trip destinations.

A fantastic addition to the Mandai Wildlife Reserve collection of wildlife parks, Rainforest Wild Asia offers visitors a chance to explore a winding trail of ground-level and elevated walkways, set amid lush tropical greenery. There’s no need to follow a prescribed route as guests are encouraged to check out the detailed map upon entry and decide what sparks their interest. Along the way, they may encounter up to 36 species, including Malayan tigers, Javan langurs, and rare newcomers to Singapore, like the endangered Southern River terrapin and the Philippine spotted deer.

For thrill-seekers, Rainforest Wild Asia delivers an exciting array of adventure activities. Soar through the air on a guided harnessed overhead tour, freefall from the Canopy Jump platforms, or experience the rush of the AIA Vitality Bounce, which can launch you up to 3 metres high. For a truly unique experience, the Critter Crawl takes visitors through a dark tunnel featuring stalactites, fossil imprints, and a glass floor panel where cockroaches scuttle beneath your feet. As these activities are more intense, a small additional fee is required for the adventure segment.

Easily accessible by public transport, Rainforest Wild Asia is open daily from 9:00 to 18:00, with last admission at 17:00.
