A high-energy gathering across two Malaysian venues

The Brief

Energetix, a unique business that specialises in transforming items from its wellness product range into stylish and healthful jewellery accessories, called on Destination Asia to create and manage a two-centre incentive trip for 26 executives selected from its German operation. In every respect, the experience had to reflect the values of professionalism and creativity that are key to the Energetix brand.

Event Highlights

In an exploration of Kuala Lumpur, delegates were given first-hand encounters with the booming dynamism that typifies the city today, as well as the fascinating way that its most ambitious skyscrapers and quiet, untouched back streets co-exist in harmony.

The trip also featured a true, deep taste of Sarawak and Kuching, with a two-night stay at the highly authentic and traditional Anna Rais Longhouse. This stay balanced authenticity and ancient seagoing traditions with all the modern comforts and amenities a guest could require.

The journey was crowned with a return to the luxury of a top Kuala Lumpur hotel and a memorable last-night gala dinner.

The Destination Asia Difference

We managed the complexities of coordinating the delegates’ separate travel arrangements, by deploying a dedicated site manager and on‑ground teams in the two centres. Detailed run sheets, synchronised across transport, hotels, and suppliers were produced and strictly adhered to, while processing the travellers from one point to the next were aided enormously by a pre-tagged luggage system and easily readable posters and signage.

We also felt it imperative to ensure that the longhouse leg of the stay combined the right balance of authenticity with all creature comforts and amenities the guests could want. We achieved this by making pre-visits, fully briefing ground staff and monitoring the stay throughout. This was enhanced by bringing guests a succession of gifts, surprises and delights.

The Outcome

With zero delays, smooth transitions and all health and safety issues managed, we received consistently positive guest feedback. On return to base, the client wrote:

“Good morning dear friends, we are well arrived at home. Everybody is happy and very grateful for all the emotions we had. It was amazing. Your engagement and your passion was a great help to me. Thank you for your precious collaboration. I love you!”
