Factory 798 Adds Edge to Events in China

MICE_China_700x459Factory number 798 is located in Beijing, China, and was part of a factory complex that manufactured electronics from the late 1950’s to the 90’s. At the turn of the century, artists and cultural institutions began to divide, rent out, and re-make the factory spaces, gradually developing them into galleries, art centres, artists’ studios, design companies, restaurants and bars. The intriguing buildings themselves were German designed and present ideal spaces in which to display modern art.

Combining contemporary art, architecture and culture in a historic location just 30 minutes from the city centre, 798 has evolved into a dynamic and fascinating art and cultural precinct that is certainly worth a visit. The venue is capable of accommodating 100-200 people for a farewell dinner or cocktail reception.
