Hong Kong gets a French feel this May

Since its inception in 1993, Hong Kong’s French Arts Festival, also known as French May, has overcome numerous challenges to become one of the city’s most anticipated cultural events, drawing 350,000 visitors annually.

Returning to Hong Kong in 2025, French May will take place from late April to early June, with full event details to be announced soon. This year’s edition promises a captivating journey through music, theatre, dance, visual arts, and cuisine.

Organised by L’Association Culturelle France – Hong Kong, the festival aims to take French culture out of the highbrow realms it often inhabits and make it accessible to everyone, everywhere. French May 2025 could well be its most successful edition yet, with exhibitions featuring works by iconic artists like Edgar Degas and Claude Monet, as well as performances by the National Opera Ballet of Lyon and the Jean-Claude Gallota Dance Company. Many more exciting events will be revealed as the countdown continues.

Alongside world-class art and performances, French May also delivers a delightful celebration of French cuisine, with a series of mouthwatering events to indulge your senses.
