On the journey we pass through a landscape of seemingly endless rice paddies interspersed with vast waterways. The delta is a water-world where boats, houses, restaurants and even markets float upon the innumerable rivers, canals and streams that flow through and bring life to the region.

On our journey into the delta we travel by bicycle, motor-cart and boat to experience life up close, visiting agricultural villages where ancient farming methods are still practiced. Traversing the country roads we stop to visit a rice mill, explore the ancient Phu Tu pagoda – and enjoy a typical Mekong Delta lunch served at a villager’s house that includes Elephant Ear fish – a local delicacy in the region.
