The Destination Asia Malaysia Reservations Team recently embarked on a focused trip to Kuala Lumpur to conduct site inspections and explore new experiences to offer travellers.
The trip included hands-on experiences such as participating in the traditional batik-making process, where the team learned the intricate techniques behind creating these iconic fabrics. They also visited the School of Hard Knocks, where visitors hammer a sheet of pewter into a functional dish. Experiencing these activities first-hand allowed the team to evaluate which immersive experiences would most engage travellers and spark creativity.
The itinerary also offered time to enjoy Kuala Lumpur’s scenic highlights, including a climb of the 272 steps to Batu Caves, providing sweeping views of the city and its surrounding natural beauty. Alongside these experiences, the team met with hotel sales representatives and inspected key properties, gathering invaluable knowledge to advise clients on the best options for stays, events, and tailored itineraries.
By trialling these experiences and reviewing properties directly, Destination Asia Malaysia continues to ensure it can deliver expertly curated journeys that combine cultural insight, scenic discovery, and premium accommodation.
