Two destinations in northern Thailand have been listed among the Sustainable Top 100 Destinations list compiled by Green Destinations. Both Chiang Khan in Loei Province and Nan Old City in the most eastern part of Northern Thailand offer a slower pace of life and unique cultural and historical perspectives.
The Sustainable Top 100 Destinations competition is held annually to showcase sustainable tourism stories and good practices of destinations, as inspiring examples to tour operators, travelers, and others. This accolade is a testament to the tireless effort by the local communities, the visitors, and everyone involved in both Chiang Khan and Nan Old City to ensure sustainable tourism activities.
