Dinawan Island remains relatively unknown by most travelers that make their way to Kota Kinabalu. A privately owned island, it is roughly 25 minutes away from the city center and 10-15minutes by boat from Kinarut jetty. With a limit placed on the number of day trippers allowed onto the island at 15 people, it is the perfect place to relax and unwind in stunning natural surroundings (without being disturbed). Visitors are always left dumbfounded by the breath-taking scenery, with the only regular sound being the squawking of hornbills at a distance. There are several activities to choose from such as snorkeling, bird watching, scuba diving and numerous other water sports. Visitors can also join a day or night time fishing experience.
The island has well-kept facilities such as wooden jetty, small restaurant that can accommodate approx 80 pax and at the same site a selection of beach chalets for those who wish to stay overnight. F&B is catered by the restaurant. Closing for private function hire is available with advance notice.
