From Cultural Kep to the Idyllic Island of Koh Tonsay (Rabbit Island)

Cambodia_600x394Kep’s famous crab market is a hive of activity in the morning and after breakfast, along with an expert chef, guests visit the lively market to observe local life and also help select the freshest seafood available for a delicious BBQ lunch later in the day. Then following a visit to the remains of once-glorious 1960s villa that preserve the memory of a pre-Khmer Rouge Cambodia, we head to the nearby pier in order to take the short boat ride (30mins) across the bay to the beautiful and largely undeveloped island of Koh Tonsai (Rabbit Island). This is a great opportunity for travelers to experience an undeveloped tropical island home to sleepy local fishing villages, shady palms and clean, golden sandy beaches. Snorkeling equipment is available for guests to discover the island’s underwater life. Then at lunchtime a delicious seafood BBQ is prepared by our private chef with plenty of time left over for relaxation, swimming and exploration before heading back to Kep in mid-afternoon.
