Hin Nam No National Protected Area

Romantic landscapes, rugged karst mountains, a highly biodiverse flora and fauna and endearing people are just some of the many reasons to visit southern Laos. This part of the Anna Mite Mountains offers explorers endless vistas and hidden valleys to adventure in to. Owing to its topography of steep mountain slopes, rarely ventured in to caves and countless streams and springs, Hin Nam No is still a relatively unknown destination, well conserved and harboring endless hidden treasures.

But it is not only the biodiversity that makes Hin Nam No a sensational place to visit. The local villagers are directly involved and engaged in promoting the sustainable use and protection of this national park, making a living from it. A number of different ethnic groups are found here, speaking differing languages and dialects, yet all focused on a single cause – to protect this magnificent park.
