Thai Airways Resumes Luang Prabang-Bangkok

After temporarily ceasing operations between Bangkok and Luang Prabang, Thai Smile – the low-cost subsidiary of Thai Airways International are re-opening the route.

Luang Prabang is a well preserved UNESCO World Heritage City set in majestic natural surroundings and remains one of Laos most revered destinations. A spectacular city, it remains less visited than many other areas due to the previous lack of international connections. The re-opening of this flight path will allow fast and efficient connection from Thailand into Laos. Adding to their existing Vientiane service, Thai Airways will double the amount of seats into Laos each month with the additional option for business class.

The airline will service the route with four-weekly flights on an A320-200 aircraft. From 1st – 26th October 2014, 3 flights a week will operate on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. From 27th October 2014 onwards, 4 flights a week will depart on Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
