Bui Vien Street has long been a popular hangout area for travelers descending upon Ho Chi Minh City. The walking street provides an enjoyable party-like atmosphere and a great place to meet new people. On 15 July 2017, a second walking street was opened. The new evening walking street is open from 7:00 pm and 2:00 am every Saturday and Sunday. The official opening takes place in September 2017. Regular performances and events will take place in the evening once the road is closed to traffic. Visitors can expect lots of street entertainment, market sellers and of course delicious Vietnamese street food.
