I-Love-Phants provide a fantastic alternative to see elephants in a natural environment. Located just one hour from Cha-Am and Hua Hin, guests stay close to a rescued elephant herd in eco-lodges situated next to a vast elephant enclosure at the Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand (WFFT) Animal Rescue Center.
There are a huge variety of animal species at WFFT due to the ongoing wildlife rescue efforts of the foundation. The forested land around the rescue center provides the rescued elephants with sufficient space to get enough daily exercise. The land offers natural forests, lakes and grazing areas allowing the elephants space to move around and socialize with other elephants.
Visitors can stay in one of the spacious rooms overlooking the pond and forest – the perfect hideaway to spot wandering animals. The lodge aims to be sustainable using solar powered electricity and filtered groundwater in the rooms. Sponsorship of a nearby tree planting projects was set up to offset any carbon emissions.
Destination Asia Thailand offer full and half-day experience at WFFT, designed to allow day trip visitors a chance to learn about the rescued animals living at the Wildlife Rescue Centre and Elephant Refuge.
