Indonesia Lifts COVID-19 Restrictions & Provides Enhanced Arrival Procedures

Indonesian authorities have taken decisive measures to eliminate all COVID-19 restrictions for international travellers to Indonesia, as well as domestic travellers within the archipelago.

Travellers visiting Indonesia are no longer required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or download the SATUSEHAT mobile application, although the latter is still suggested to download as it offers valuable updates for travelers.

Moreover, Indonesia has introduced a convenient online visa application system for eligible countries. This digital platform allows travellers to obtain their e-VOA (electronic visa on arrival) in advance by submitting essential information and completing payment online. Upon arrival, presenting the e-VOA received via email ensures a streamlined entry process.

To expedite the entry process, all passengers arriving in Indonesia must complete an online customs declaration form. Passengers are recommended to complete this form prior to arrival, considering mobile internet connections at Indonesian airports may not provide sufficient service.

These advancements represent a major milestone in the revitalization of Indonesia’s travel and tourism sector. As the situation continues to improve, the government remains dedicated to ensuring a safe and seamless travel experience for international visitors.

However, it is crucial to stay updated on the latest travel advisories and guidelines issued by the authorities. Destination Asia encourages everyone to prioritize their health and well-being by adhering to necessary precautions while traveling.
