Keeping the Traditional Paper-Making Crafts Alive in Vietnam’s Hue

Truc Chi (translated as paper made from bamboo) is a new art form derived from Vietnamese traditional paper-making craft. During the final steps of the paper-making process, the artist can add creative touches directly onto the paper itself.

During this stage the artist can add their own shapes and templates, watching their layouts come to life through a combination of techniques and materials. This art form has been given new life by a group of young talented artists making it accessible to everyone. Your guests can now visit Truc Chi workshop, chat with the artists to understand more about the process and learn how they plan to export the tradition to other countries. Try creating your own one-of-a-kind Truc Chi artwork and take it home as a souvenir.
