Destination Asia Thailand has incorporated the stunning Samet Nangshe Viewpoint into a wonderful package that includes a journey by luxury longtail boat through Phang Nga Bay. No longer a secret viewpoint, Samet Nangshe located on a hilltop north of Phuket, provides stunning views over the limestone islets of Phang Nga Bay.
Far enough away from civilization to avoid light pollution, the stars shimmer bright at night and by day, the views are quite simply breathtaking. The viewpoint quickly found popularity after professional Thai photographer Theerasak Saksritawee, stumbled upon its location on a trek and shared his images online.
Considered one of the most beautiful places in Thailand, we make our way to the viewpoint area for lunch after a morning navigating the nearby mangroves, islands and islets of Phang Nga. The 180-degree views overlooking Phang Nga are a treat after making the 20 minute hike up a dirt path – but we all agree, it’s well worth it.
