Seven Major MICE Events to be hosted in Hong Kong

With a marked decrease in the overall number of local infections from COVID-19, the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) and Destination Asia Hong Kong are planning promotions and tactical offers targeting both short and long-haul markets. Recently, seven major international MICE events were confirmed to be hosted in Hong Kong, boosting confidence in Hong Kong’s ability to draw MICE visitors in the future. These events include first-time events for Hong Kong and the Greater China region, and the largest MICE event of its kind in Asia expecting to attract a total of around 20,000 participants in 2021 and 2022.

The HKTB is working in hand with local DMC’s to gradually resume promotions in the local and source markets, reviving tourism through a combination of short-term and long-term strategies.

While the global pandemic remains volatile, Destination Asia Hong Kong is always open to review our booking policy and health & safety standards, ensuring resilience and flexible T&Cs are offered. We are prepared and always ready to welcome the return of our valued guests as soon as cross-boundary travel resumes.
