The Phantom returns to sing in Singapore

With crashing chords, luscious melodies, soaring high notes, incredible effects, costumes and colours – and of course its heartwrenching tale of doomed love – many critics say Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera is the very essence of what musicals are all about.

Premiering in London in 1986 and on Broadway in 1998, it has won over 70 major awards and has been seen by over 160 million people. Now it’s making a triumphant return to Singapore for the first time since 2019 with an extended season at Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands, from 9 May to 15 June.

This production stars Jonathan Roxmouth as the Phantom with the beautiful soprano Christine played by Grace Roberts, joined by a top-notch international cast of 37 performers. The director, music supervisor and choreographer are seasoned members of the Phantom ensemble with a proven ability to make every rendition of the show a stunner.

Admissions are available at peak and off-peak prices with matinees and evening shows. But demand for tickets at all levels is likely to be brisk, so early booking is advised.
