Trendy Babett Eatery Opens at ‘Hotel G’ in Yangon’s Hipster Neighborhood

Babett is the latest addition to hit Yangon’s burgeoning culinary scene. Located in newly opened Hotel G, it has fast become the talk of town. Babett offers visitors a fashionable setting to dine in the hipster neighborhood of Yawmingyi. Yawmingyi consists of two parallel streets where a selection of artistic cafes, local shops, restaurants and quirky eateries are lined up between Colonial Downtown and the central Railway station. Kori Cicero our Sales & Product Manager at Destination Asia Myanmar has already visited and said it’s packed with young professionals and thirty somethings that add a very trend vibe to the place. The waiters are stylish tattooed guys and girls who serve delicious Mediterranean bistro style dishes infused with Asian flavors (think tapas entrees such as bbq squid, grilled Shan potatoes, red snapper & broccoli puree and truffle pizza). Then at 10 pm, the lights are dimmed and the music is turned up a notch – we’ve also been told that DJs will be a feature on the weekend nights.
