Vietnam is making it easier for international visitors to discover its vibrant culture, stunning landscapes, and warm hospitality with a new visa exemption policy.
From 15 August 2025 to 14 August 2028, citizens of Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Switzerland will be able to enjoy visa-free stays of up to 45 days for tourism purposes.
As part of Vietnam’s push to welcome more visitors, the updated visa rules aim to make trip planning simpler and travel arrangements more convenient. Travellers should keep the following in mind when preparing for their visit:
- Applies to all passport types
- Valid for tourism purposes only
- Standard entry requirements still apply
- Replaces the previous exemptions for Poland, the Czech Republic, and Switzerland under the 2025 program
This move is part of Vietnam’s tourism stimulus program, making multi-country trips within Asia more accessible and encouraging longer stays that allow visitors to immerse themselves in all that Vietnam has to offer.
