Located 120 kilometers from the capital city of Vientiane, the Sanctuary Nam Ngum Beach Resort is positioned on an island on Nam Ngum Lake by the banks of Thaheua, a charming fisherman’s village in the heart of the surrounding mountains. Still under construction, the charming resort will re-open in two phases from December 2015 when all Deluxe and Suite Bungalows (13 Superior and 8 Deluxe), along with resort activities will be available. From April 2016, the resorts two Superior Bungalows will be ready to book.
Visitors can take advantage of the activities on offer in nearby Vang Vieng. Enjoy a bicycle ride into the outskirts of town to experience local life and immerse in the natural surroundings. There is also an organic farm to visit and light kayaking adventures to try, while those who don’t want to paddle can take a local long tail boat along the majestic Nam Song River.
