Restoration work on The Strand Yangon has now complete, ushering the iconic hotel into the 21st century. Each of the hotel’s 31 suites have been elegantly upgraded with vintage textiles and original artworks. The finishing touches will occur in November 2017 with the opening of a new outdoor pool, dining terrace, two therapy rooms and gym in a new area behind the original 1901 hotel building. A teak terrace will edge the pool, offering space for loungers, pool cabanas and al fresco dining, edged by a private garden. Modern technologies have been added to each suite ensuring business travelers can stay connected throughout their time spent in Myanmar.
