Design and Paint Your Own Elephant in Chiang Mai

Elephant Parade was founded by father and son Marc and Mike Spits in 2006. Whilst on holiday In Thailand, Marc met a baby elephant named Mosha, who had lost part of her leg after stepping on a landmine. Mosha inspired Marc and Mike to create Elephant Parade, now a social enterprise running the world’s largest art exhibition of decorated elephant statues. Created by artists and celebrities, each elephant parade statue is a unique art piece. The life-size baby elephant statues are exhibited in international cities and raise awareness for the need of elephant conversation.

Inspired by wandering through the vibrant elephant statue garden in Chiang Mai, guests can get creative and enjoy designing their very own elephant in miniature size. A 10cm or 15cm painting workshop is available at Elephant Parade Land. This is a fun and creative way to help support Asian elephant conservation in Thailand. Visiting Elephant Parade Land museum and joining the elephant painting activity is a refreshing way to spend time in Chiang Mai. It is a fun activity for families, couples or larger groups visiting as part of an event.
